The nice thing about our baby program is that we get to watch the little ones grow over the first year! It's so much fun to see them at birth, 6 months and then a year. Today I have some Baby Program customers to show off to you!! Enjoy!!

First one is from a 6 month session...

This next little sweetheart was in for her 1st year session! She wasn't enjoying being indoors too much but if all else fails they seem to make a total turn around by going outside :)

Another 1 year session. He brought his brothers along to get in on the fun too :)

First is a newborn twin session. Thes little sweethearts were amongst the calmest of our newborns if you can believe it!! They were really well behaved :)

And now that we've gotten those lovely little ladies taken care of it's time to show off a sweet little boy! He sure loves his teddy :) and that monkey hat he brought along for his session was SO cute - i couldn't decide which version to show so I posted them both.

We had the priveledge of doing a maternity and newborn session for Cole & Cherisse before they moved away. We are SO sad your gone and we won't have the chance to photograph Grayson as he grows up :( We did have a great time photographing you while you were her though at least :) :)

Yes, it's been awhile since the session was done so we are doing some catch up now. That works well though b/c now it should be safe to show the announcement we designed for Grayson.

This type of photos is why I LOVE doing newborns on black - you can capture relationships and expressions SO well. yes, you definitely can on other colours too ;) but when it's on black it's really easy to focus in on the what's going on!!

Newborns are amazing! Look at how he just curls right up!!!

Well, in the spirit of "trying" to catch upI am blogging 3 families today! Each one has a different location in the city and all our unique in their own way :) My faves have to be "playing with bubbles", "sister love", and "boys on the climber". I'll point each of them out further down.

Brittany & Brandon - Married!

Well, we are wrapping up our September weddings with Brittany & Brandon. It was a lovely cozy back yard wedding and as you will see by the photos - nature, the outdoors, and trees played a very prominent role in the day. Take a look - You'll love the details and props she chose as well such as the orange balloons, Mr & Mrs sign, and even the super hero groom shot!!! lol. One of my favorite things though was Brittany's expressions :)

Taking a break from wedding blogging again (will be back with another one in a day or two though). But for today I'm showing off our 2012 highschool senior model Milan :) Matt was our other winner but ladies first so we'll show his within the next week.

For our highschool seniors we LOVE to incorporate a passion into their session (casual session OR formal session - it's all fun). Milan is a basketball player and has an incredible collection of sneakers so that's what she chose to bring along for her session. Take a look!

Meagan & Matt - MARRIED!

After some photos in the city they headed out of town. Only problem was that the limo had some troubles and they were standed on a country road!! Wayne took off ahead with the bride and groom to do some photos of them since he could fit the 2 of them in his vehicle and this next photo is a picture of the guys getting dropped off by some wonderful, random, helpful person who was driving by and decided to help out.

Next, this kind lady and passenger stopped by to ask if they knew that their limo

was stranded a ways back.

And at last someone came to the rescue of the bridesmaids as well :) Thank you so much to all the wonderfully kind strangers out on that little country road!!!!

These coat hangers are such a NEAT idea!!!

They found an adorable little frog!!! Your brave Meagan - I wouldn't touch the thing. LOL

UGH! I was SSOO torn as to whether I should put the bw or the colour of the next one :( The colour was SO gorgeous with the sun flare in it but I wanted some bw pics to show as well so bw won out.

Wayne likes to play around with some unique cropping sometimes and these next two are some pics he thought gave a whole new look to the photos he used them on. I like them. The first one looks like it could be on some tropical island or something!!!

The Vogts

I feel like I'm always a season or two behind in my blogging. I guess it's b/c I am!! LOL. For weddings they have to wait a full month to get their stuff so we show a sneak peek but for portraits we try our best to have the gallery up for viewing in one week or so. b/c of the short turn around time in viewing and b/c we don't know what people will like for their photos we don't blog until after the client has selected their photos and recieved their order. I also like this b/c I like them to be the first to see their pictures in person. So that's why my posts always seem to be put up in the wrong season (except for weddings or people that are SUPER fast at making their selections).

Anyway, here is a spring session of the Vogt family. It was a chilly, windy spring day. You can't tell but trust me, it was! Unfortunately for us we only have about 4 months of REALLY nice weather so unless it's pouring or blizzarding we try to go on with the session lol. One bonus about doing it in the spring though is that you can take advantage of the beautiful pink blossoms on the trees :) They are GORGEOUS!

One had to be moved indoor on location due to the weather deciding to not cooperate and the other one worked out to go outside at Wascana Park. Wayne of course broke it down so they could get individual family photos, couple photos, individuals, and other groupings but there were SO many that I couldn't possibly show them all.

Today I am showing off two family sessions. One is a 1st bday session for twins with a bit of a cake bash of sorts (or should we call it a cake snatch?) and the other is an outdoor spring session.

First off is the Zacharias twins. These two sweethearts turned 1. Be sure to look through the "Cake Snatch" pics - I get a chuckle every time I view them.

Here is big brother Reid - he's always a pleasure to photograph!!!

The next session is an early spring outdoor session. There was lots of fun things involved in this session such as a park, tire swing, climber, slide, club chair used outside and a cool wooden wall. Of course I didn't include them all though b/c that would have taken up too much time b/c I have to get back to editing photos. But there are enough fun ones to see here anyway :)

Amy & Joe MARRIED!

Amy & Joe had their wedding in Moose Jaw and Bassant campground. Wayne was thrilled to be shooting in and around Moose Jaw as it's just a gorgeous, photogenic city with LOTS of history.

We don't know Amy & Joe that well but they have a special spot in our hearts b/c 5 years ago we bought our dog Sandy from them (we've included a picture of him at the end of the post for those that might have known him back then). He's been such a HUGE part of our life and is so special to us that Wayne was honored to be able to capture this special day for them!! It rained off and on but was nothing that they couldn't handle. They had a great time and got some great shots regardless which is usually the case.

and here is a picture of Sandy - the dog we bought from Amy & Joe. He's the sweetest dog ever and we couldn't have asked for a better pet!!! Here he is doing what he loves the most - playing fetch! He is happiest when chasing something - mostly a ball though as he is completely obsessed with them!!!

Carols graduation

We did Carol's grad session the end of May and it may not look it here but it was C.O.L.D!!! Carol was such a trooper - we kept trying to keep her wrapped in a blanket between takes and I was SO glad I had a jacket on.

When we heard we were shooting at an elementary school yard we scouted out the area to see where else we could go just in case we ran out of ideas but WOW!!! We spent MORE time than was neccesary in this location! It just goes to show that you can get cool shots almost ANYWHERE.

You were lots of fun to work with Carol!! Congrats on your graduation and all the awards and accomplishments you went up to receive!

*** side note - she graduated from the same school as my niece so that's why we saw all the awards etc..

Baby, baby, baby!!!

Wow, we have some ADORABLE babies to show you today!!! We havn't posted in awhile b/c we ran our highschool senior model contest but now that it's over we have lots to show you :)

Today we'll start off with 3 little sweethearts!

Isaac came in for his newborn session. He did GREAT!! and as you can see his little brother loves him very much and enjoys hanging out with him (last photo in set).

We look forward to seeing how much you've grown when you come back for your 6 month session around November!!!

Baby Ella was back for her 6 month session and she is SO adorable!!! I just love watching them grow in our 1st year package! We get to see them at birth, 6 months and at a year and it's amazing how much these little ones can grow and change over the year!

Raia just finished up her 1st year package with us and she's grown SO much!! She wasn't as generous with the smiles at this session as she was at her 3 and 6 month sessions but who cares, with a face like that ANY expression is cute!!!

Highschool senior 2012 model contest!

Class of 2012 - Models needed for Wayne Iverson Photography
　
We are looking for enthusiastic 2012 graduates (if your going into grade 12 THIS FALL then that's you) that want to be photographed and promote our company to others. If this sounds like YOU then read on!

First off have a look at a few photos from Daphne's formal session. Daphne was our highschool senior 2011 winner and it's been GREAT working with her! These are only a few of the fantastic shots we got.

Here is all the info you need to know, we look forward to working with you soon!

YOU MUST:

-be entering into grade 12 this fall (2011) at a highschool in or within a 60km radius of Regina SK.)

- be available for a photo session the week of August 8th – 12th.

- sign/have a parent sign a model release allowing us to show your images to the public (this can be done on the day of the photo session)

- have a hobby or a passion that can be incorporated into the photo session

- be ready to have fun and create some wonderful, unique images

- send us an email with the following information included;

- your full name (and the name you go by)- the name of the highschool you will be attending in the fall

- information on how we can get ahold of you - please include phone number and email address

- a description of who you are, what you love to do and a description of your hobby/passion that you want to incorporate into the photography session (this can be anything you enjoy doing such as sports, gaming, a job, reading, a pet, your vehicle, or anything that your really enjoy doing and defines who you are)

YOU GET:

- a 1 hour photo session some time during the week of August 8th - 12th (sometime between 5 and 9pm -in case of inclement weather we will reschedule)

- a location of your choice (we can give suggestions if your stumped for ideas or we can brainstorm to come up with a unique location)

- the opportunity to change outfits a few times during the session (your own clothing that is)

- a brag book of 12 of your favorite poses (4x6' leatherlike magnetic album)

- an online gallery to view your images (available for 1 month)

- our business cards with your photo on them to hand out to friends (so you can promote our company and earn free product)

- a 30 - 40 minute formal session the month before your graduation

- the opportunity to accumulate cash value through the year from our referal program to put towards free products of your formal session

Aprox. 2 weeks after each of the sessions you are able to purchase your images. We do encourage you to refer your fellow senior classmates to book with us so you can earn fee stuff at your formal session, however you are also welcome to purchase them..

As our 2012 winner you will be entitled to special pricing on all our products and services that we do not offer to anyone else.

WE WILL:

- choose our models through a DRAW which will take place on Monday June 27th, 2011 so you need to have your information sent to us no later than Sunday June 26th, 2009.

- be drawing 2 names - 1 female and 1 male - from all entries that meet our criteria (our winner is welcome to bring along a friend or significant other to make the session more fun).

- only be drawing one person from each school represented (unless there are fewer than 2 schools represented)

We look forward to sessions picking up very soon - if this CRAZY snow would ever melt!! Are we the only ones with a hill in our front yard taller than our vehicles still?? Gosh, it's April already!!!

But warmer temps are on the horizon so it's time to think spring regardless of all that icky snow.

Nathan came in for his 2nd birthday photos :) It was a pleasure to see him again! We love watching our clients families grow :) :) He's looking pretty serious in the first photos but once he got playing he was ALL about having FUN!!! LOL so I couldn't resist to throw in some playtime shots too :)

Hawaii scenic shots

Well, the Hawaii pictures won out after all on what to blog next :) We just couldn't wait any longer to get them up. There are more - if you can beleive!! Thousands to be exact! LOL. It took us SO long to narrow it down and work on the photos that were our faves and I did have to leave LOTS out still. I stuck to showing more scenic, landscape, detail type shots. There were so many wonderful shots of us and the things we did too but I could have posted for days if I went ahead with those ones too :O

We hope you enjoy a little taste of Hawaii - I enjoyed looking at them again b/c even though we've been back for less than a month and a half it seems like it was YEARS since we went!!!

We met the sweetest lady here selling fish, birds and baskets made out of palm leaves and she also sold home made bamboo flutes which our daughter bought as a spcial treat for herself :) She plays the French Horn and Trumpet so music is an important part of her life...

Shopping in Hilo...

This was the MOST amazing Scenic drive I've ever been on!! Incredible trees that covered the roads and when you looked up it was looking into a sky full of leaf clouds!! At spots we would get out and just gaze at the ocen and cliffs and watch the waves splashing up just feet away from where we stood on the black cliffs! This was also a tropical rainforest so the vegetation was incredibly lush everywhere we went!! ....

Our little friendly lizzard - he was eating some pineapple. I think we were too nice to them and ended up having one inside the condo with us. I could hear it clicking in the night and KNEW it was up on the ceiling watching me!!! ack! lol.

Lava Rock. It's almost like being on the moon or a desolate planet! Really quite amazing though .....

There were some beautiful picturesque towns here and there ....

FERNS!!! Really BIG ferns!! Ranger Dean told us that the ferns grow aprox. 1 foot every 5 to 7 years. Some of the ferns we saw had to be 7 feet tall themselves so they were around 35 to 49 years old!!

What an incredible flower the Hibiscus is!! Some of them were SO thick they were like plastic!! We found one in GREAT shape on the ground and tried to press it but it just didn't work. They are best when fresh for sure .....

We were on the Big Island - the one actually called Hawaii. Not many people visit there but it's got everything the other islands have and MORE!! They have almost every eco-system there is so we saw it all from prairie, mountain, snow, tropical and rainforest, to barren lava rock! The biggest perk of the big island is getting to see the lava flow. I can't beleive I didn't incude a pic of it here :( silly me - I'll have to rectify that! It was definitely COOL. We also got to see white sand beaches, salt and pepper sand beaches, black sand beaches and we unfortunately did not attempt the hike down to the green sand beach.

Anyway, we thought this shot next was cool - very similar to the wheat here at home!!! ....

This is Waiapio Valley. We did NOT attempt the hike down into this valley - we actually did Pololu Valley instead which is a smaller valley on the other side of this one and we enjoyed sitting on a black sand beach at the bottom and putting our feet in the too dangerous for swimming waters before we made the DREADED BRUTAL hike back up. LOL.....

Very prairie - like around Waimea - cowboy country!

Place of Refuge. Great story here but to make it short - if you broke the law you could risk the crashing waves and sharks to swim into this place and if you did achieve that - you were forgiven and could go back to your normal life. This was a place where royalty lived.....

Jocelyne and Murray have a GORGEOUS home!! So it only made sense to do an "on location" session in their home.

Avery however was BUSY BUSY BUSY!! lol

So, after a little bit Wayne suggested heading outdoors. Yes, it was a little on the chilly side but it worked!! Avery was MUCH more co-operative and they got some GREAT shots :) This just enforced all the more our thoughts on busy kids having outdoor sessions. It really seems to keep them happier and more co-operative.

Apparently Avery likes ears! LOL. I LOVE this shot b/c I feel it's SO important to show the childrens character in their photos and well, he likes ears and they will

ALWAYS remember it now :)

Little Raia is in our Baby's First Year program. She came in at 3 months for her own personal session, for 7 months she brought along the family. We will see her once more this spring as well and it's been SO nice watching her grow. She's SO sweet!!! and ALWAYS gives us GREAT smiles :)

I would have had this up yesterday but we were having some virus issues between our two computers :( I HOPE we've solved the problem now.

Anyway, 3 more families to share with you today...

Wayne has been working with the Henry family for quite some time now and they LOVE to try new and neat ideas. We LOVED the orange balloons Michelle and Peyton sure thought they were a great idea too. We're lucky they didn't fly off into the sky with all the wind we had to deal with that day!!!

PS - Derrick and Michelle are helping us get HEALTHY!!! Check out their page if you are interested in living a wonderully healthy life - aren't we all?? lol

Wayne had some fun in the park with the Bartlett Family :) I just LOVE love love those gorgeous fall colours!! It can be tricky to know when to book your session to get these colours but once again - you can have amazing shots no matter the season! ie; no fall colours in the Henry session above but still some GREAT stuff.

The weather called for an indoor session for the Abbott Family. You guys were SO easy to work with and remind us of our own little family of 3 :) I also enjoyed putting together some Christmas cards for the Abbotts!!

OK, ONE more blog of families from last fall/winter and then I get to work on blogging the photos from the sessions we processed after our holiday in January. I'm not too sure yet if I will try and blog some trip pictures first?? or do the sessions. Anyway, I'll be back soon so check often!!!

Today I have 3 GORGEOUS families to show off :) These are still sessions from last fall. Yep - it's the MOST popular time of year to get your photos done so if you want them in the Fall then be sure to book WELL in advance!! We sometimes get so many bookings that we start booking 2 months in advance at that time of year!!

Here are the Orthners. One of our favorite families to photograph. They come back each year and the boys REALLY keep us hopping and working hard. LOL. I do have to say though that this year was a bit calmer than it has been, wouldn't you agree Lauren?? Honestly though, we just LOVE working with you guys every year :) It's lots of fun!

Next family is the Perkins. I love the piggy back pics (5th picture down). Lots of fun!!! lol

And now the McKechnie Family. It was a little bit on the chilly side on this particular day but that's no problem - as long as your willing, you can get some GREAT stuff!!

I just couldn't resist including this next set!!! ROFLOL I laugh EVERY time I look at this!! She just loves him SO MUCH - actually you could say "she loves him to death almost" haha.

4 engaged couples!

Well, this actually worked out well!!! We have 4 wonderful, madly in love couples to show off to you on this Valentine's Day! These sessions are from last fall and I am SO excited to finally be getting them blogged :) We work with such GREAT couples!

First off we have Lisa & Gary. They must be getting SO excited right now! Either that or they are frantic in the midst of all the details they need to wrap up in the last few months. They are getting married in May so not much longer now.

This is one of my favorite detail shots!!! love love love it!

Their dog looks SO faithful standing there keeping guard while they sneak in a little

snuggle time! lol

Alicia & James are getting married in July - the time between now and then is going to just FLY right by!!! I'm looking forward to designing their invites this week!!

This is one of my FAVE shots! With all this nature surrounding them this photo just screams out to be a canvas! Canvas photos work so well with nature in them or something with a lot of texture like brick works well too.

Ciara and Ryan have their wedding date set for August. How much fun is it to climb a tree for the photos (take a look below). Ciara certainly is more brave than I am but then again I do have to say - that tree in particular looks like it's just ASKING to be climbed!! I think I need to take my daughter there as she's been wanting to climb a tree lately. LOL

Last but NOT least today we have Quinn & Donovan! They will be getting married in beautiful September. Always a wonderful month to get married b/c of the changing leaves BUT don't get me wrong - you can get amazing wedding pics in ANY month!! Wayne LOVES to work with whatever weather he gets and he's able to achieve some amazing and gorgeous stuff in rain and snow too :) Anyway, take a peek at Quinn and Donovan's pics. A few GREAT couples

Here are a few great couples we photographed last Fall. We LOVE it when couples come in to get their pics done :) So often we only see couples for their engagement session and that's it. I think it's important to document it more often than that and there is no reason to wait to be engaged or have a large family to get your photos done :) So kudo's to you guys for booking in just to celebrate the two of you as a couple :) :)

First is Sarah and Tyler. Lots of fun, these two! lol. and they even brought

along their cute little doggie!!!

Another fun couple ; Jeff and Pam. We've known Jeff since WAY BACK WHEN!!! lol. Man, that makes me feel old just saying that but it had to have been what... 20 years for sure when we all attended youth group right?? wow!

So, Wayne did make me restrain today. I actually have 4 more couples to blog but they are engagement sessions so instead of posting 6 sessions in one day I will give it another day or two before I put the other 4 up! Then I have like 9 families still to come from the fall!!! I hope to get those ones going by end of the week or early next week. It's sure nice to have a bit of down time to catch up on all these sessions :)

We have 4 adorable babies to post today!! The first is Eli and his 1st birthday session. He had SUCH a great time! What a super happy lil guy :) And be sure to peek at his cake bash pics at the bottom - he REALLY enjoyed the cake that mom and grandma made for the photo session.

Hhmm, not sure what happened here! It DID have a black border around the whole thing. I'll have to look into what happened on that one.

Next you will see Baby Ella and her newborn session. What a sweet little baby girl!!!

Next comes Blake at his 1st year session. Blake is our very first Baby Club graduate!!! We did his Newborn session, 7 month session and 1 year old session. At the bottom you will see the collage that came at the end of his sessions. It is SO neat to see how much he changed over the year!! We hope to see you again soon Blake.

The 4th baby is baby Khloe. We got to photograph her big brother a few years back so it was SO nice to see how much he's grown too!!! I LOVE the little kiss he is planting on his sweet baby sister and the picture of Luca holding his siter is amazing - The first time I looked at it on the computer after Wayne was done the session I couldn't beleive how much Khloe looked like a little doll - she is just so perfect :)

Here are two GREAT teens we got to work with this Fall! We always have fun working with teens - they just have such a good time on a photo shoot!! If your graduating this Fall or know someone graduating make sure you don't wait til the last minute to book a formal OR a casual session b/c we have a lot of seniors to work with this spring and the popular dates (graduation days) get booked up FAST!!

First is Madison. She's a senior in highschool this year and we had a great time photographing her. I especially loved finding out the story behind her tatoo - her and her family have certainly been through alot and are absolutely AMAZING in my books!! Thanks so much for sharing your story with us!!!

Next is Jenna and this was the second time Wayne got to work with her over the past year. We got to pop over to one of our newer locations from this year and the colours were AMAZING!! Don't you just love Fall colours!!!!

CATCH UP TIME :) Our Christmas rush has definitely come to an end. We are just finishing up our last few orders so we now have more time to blog all the sessions that got put on hold. Unfortunately though, we have SO many that I don't want to spend all my time on blogging them in as much detail as what you might be used to seeing. BUT - I promise there will still be some great stuff to look at :)

Today I am blogging the bigger family groups we did recently. There were some GREAT shots that I would have loved to include but for times sake I kept it pretty basic.

First off is the O'Dell family. Wayne has photographed Nicole and Dean at their wedding, then he photographed their sweet baby Finley when she was born and now it was time to get the whole family together for pictures.

Next is the Neilson Family. Wayne has worked alot with them lately too :) Ty was our very first highschool senior winner so we got to work with him a few times over the last year and Wayne did a family group session for their other side of the family awhile back as well. They found a really cool spot to do their photo session at but b/c I'm trying to just show the basics I didn't end up putting alot of pics up that really show the cool building.

The Mailhots had aLOT of family in town so it was a great chance for them to get a session in too. Again, I really hated to leave so many great shots out but I kept it short and just chose the whole group, grandma with her kids and grandma with her grandkids.

The last session we have to show is the Laturnas Family. Wayne went out to their beautiful acreage to do the session which always adds a nice personal touch to the photo session :)

PHEW! It's certainly been awhile since I last blogged. Beleive me when I say it's not b/c we have nothing to blog but the contrary - SO busy with shoots and other things that we havn't had time to get on and blog them. That's a good thing though :) We are now past our Fall and Christmas rush though so get ready to see lots of families, babies, and other posts over the holiday season.

In the meantime you get to enjoy a sneak peek with Kelly and Alex!!! What a gorgeous winter wedding!!! Wayne loves to shoot a wedding in ANY season b/c they all offer their own unique beautiful options.
